These QUEEN honey bees were part of my NH-based colony, and naturally expired. These queens were once the heads of various hives. Each queen honey bee comes in a 5 mL glass silver screw-cap bottle, preserved and suspended in hand sanitizer.
What’s the difference between a queen bee and a worker bee? Well, the queen runs the place by sending signals to all the worker bees. The queen is also the only bee (usually) laying eggs. Queens typically live a few years whereas a worker bee only lives a few weeks. How can you tell the difference? Queen bees are generally larger than worker bees and have more abdomen sections. They are much longer than a standard worker bee!
I only have 3 queens available for purchase, one of which is discounted because she is damaged and only has 1 wing (she’s the one in the first close up photo; she was also marked once). Please make your selection accordingly.
Your bees come from New Hampshire, USA, not any other country! That means you can expect to get them in 1-5 business days.
These will come to you packaged in recycled packaging. They will either arrive in a larger box, or in a small box or plastic tube inside of a poly mailer/bubble mailer; both should survive USPS shipping and keep your bees from getting crushed, but if they come to you damaged, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
